Nick Nawfal is a graduate of the University of Louisiana in Lafayette with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He began his career in the oil and gas industry in 1988 in Baton Rouge Louisiana, He joined Baker Hughes in 1990 as a field engineer and held various positions in engineering, field’s operation, and managements in North America, Europe & the Middle East.
Nick moved to the Middle East in 1993 and has been in the region ever since assuming various roles in fields, operation, sales and leadership. In 2001, he was the General Manager in Saudi Arabia for drilling services, and 2005 he became the Regional & sales Manager for the Middle East Region.
In 2009, Nick was appointed as a Vice President for Baker Hughes for the Gulf Geo-Market and in 2011 he move to be the Regional Director for Drilling Services in the Middle East & Asia Pacific. In May 2013, Nick was appointed as a Vice President for Integrated Operation for the Eastern Hemisphere. Currently, he is the Vice president for BHGE in Saudi Arabia.
Nick has authored and co-authored numerous technical papers and served on various committees including Board of Directors and symposium’s committees of the local chapter of SPE in Saudi Arabia and UAE & Oman. Currently he is member of the board of directors for the Saudi Petroleum Services Polytechnic School and Saudi Arabia Drilling Academy.
