Matthew Pyett holds a Master of Science degree in Integrated Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Aberdeen and successfully graduated in 2010. In addition, Matthew also earned a Batchelor of Science degree (with Honours) in Applied Geology from the University of Plymouth graduating in 2009.
Since joining PGS in 2010, he has worked on a variety of global interpretation projects with PGS Reservoir. He then joined the PGS Equity group as the technical lead, he was heavily involved in multiple technical reviews for offshore licensing round applications and farm out opportunities. In addition, he also was involved in commercially focused projects and new business entries for PGS.
Since joining the PGS New Ventures Africa, Mediterranean and Middle East team as the technical lead for North Africa and the Mediterranean his primary focus is to oversee and manage all technical aspects concerning this region. He has worked closely with the LPA since 2018, with respect to the promotion of the upcoming licensing.
