Bruno Alves is the Reservoir Characterization Vice President for Schlumberger Northern Middle East Region (NME), located in Kuwait City, Kuwait, a position he assumes since Feb 2018.
Prior to his new role, Bruno held various Technical and Management positions including Corporate Project Manager for the Schlumberger Transformation Program, based in the United states, Operations Manager for Schlumberger Testing Services in the Sultanate of Oman, Location Manager for Testing Services in India based out of Mumbai, Field Services Manager for Well Services in Brazil based out of Macae.
He started his career with Schlumberger in 2004 as a Well Services Field Engineer in Brazil, and has worked since then internationally in Asia, Middle East and the United States in various operational and managerial roles including Technical, Operations and Marketing.
Bruno holds a Master’s degree in Management for the Oil & Gas Industry from the Heriot Watt University in United Kingdom, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Itajuba in Brazil. He is also an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), has co-authored oil & gas related papers and hold an invention patent with the United States patent office.
