Assem Abou Ibrahim is currently a board member and the head of the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) department at the Lebanese Petroleum Administration (LPA) in Lebanon. He was the president of the LPA during its first year of creation in December 2012.
He is a senior professional with over 15 years of experience, gained through working with a wide range of organizations and regulatory bodies, most of which are based abroad in the gulf regions and overseas. He has held technical and managerial responsibilities during his career with international organizations.
His main area of expertise is related to management and policy formulation, regulation formulation, compliance and supervision strategies, as well as, technical inputs in relation to sustainability and safety fields. His involvement varies amongst government and private sectors namely in the upstream and downstream Oil & Gas sectors and the infrastructure and building sectors.
Assem holds a Master degree in Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
