As organisers of the 5th Lebanon International Oil and Gas Summit, we would like to congratulate Lebanon for forming its new government.
The new cabinet is expected to move forward and benefit from great opportunities, particularly on the economic and financial fronts. Special emphasis is to be given to the resumption of efforts and implementation of plans in developing the country’s oil and gas resources.
The newly appointed minister of energy and water, HE Mrs. Nada Boustani, one of four newly appointed female ministers, will lead this process with a long and informed career within the ministry.
The 5th LIOG 2019 Summit, which is being held under the patronage of Lebanon’s Ministry of Energy and Water, will be at the centre of the expected developments like the start of exploration drilling in two maritime blocks, the launch of the second licensing round offshore Lebanon, and the introduction of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) for the first time to the Lebanese market through FSRUs.
Organised around the slogan, ‘A full stream of insights and opportunities’, LIOG-2019 will run over three days from 2 to 4 April, 2019 at the prestigious Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand Hotel. It will include a two day strategic conference, along with a technical day, covering the whole value chain of the petroleum industry in Lebanon.
This year’s edition comes at a crucial time to provide a large crowd of participants with the best possible platform for insightful information and debate, and dedicated networking opportunities for purposeful meetings and building partnerships.
Over 500 industry leaders from both the private and public sectors from Lebanon, the East Mediterranean and around the world are expected to join the event and benefit from the presented opportunities.
We are confident that the Lebanon International Oil & Gas Summit in its fifth edition will be instrumental once again in supporting all stakeholders in Lebanon’s petroleum industry, particularly the newly appointed minister in her efforts to materialize all the ambitious plans with the support of the Lebanese Petroleum Administration.
